This
event brings the public into the planning process for the rebuilding
of downtown New York. Citizens become active participants in
a process that begins by discussing an issue with others at
their table. It ends when a "sense of a meeting" -
evolving as a single or multiple concepts - is brought to the
group as a whole through interactive technologies.
This first meeting is made up of individuals and groups who
were directly impacted by the events of September 11th: victim
families, firefighters, those unemployed because of the terrorist
attack, those still working in the downtown area, and a limited
number from the groups who have joined together to make these
events possible.
